Tucson gem shows! Our favorite time of year!
We’ve been participating in the Tucson gem shows, the largest gem show in the world, in one form or another for over 15 years (and attending for much, much longer!) We look forward to the three+ weeks every February of friends, fun and rock madness!
We will be open every day with extended hours during the 2027 show. We will be doing (hopefully) more than a repeat of the ‘soft’ opens at our new location, the historic Kino Rocks and Minerals as we’ve been working hard on the property. We will have a couple of tents set up with minerals, jewelry, meteorites, and lots and lots of lapidary rough. We are also hoping to participate in the TGMS show at the TCC again. We had a fantastic time for our first showing in 2026, we’re hoping it will be even better now that we have a clue what we’re doing. We hope to see you there!
TUCSON 2026 GEM SHOW
WE WILL BE OPEN AT OUR ‘NEW’ LOCATION FOR THE 2026 GEM SHOW!!!!!
We are hoping that we will have made significant progress on the property and will have more than a “soft” open like we did last year. We do anticipate still functioning out of the tent, as we did last year.
Please join us again for year 2 at our ‘new’ location - the historic Kino Rocks and Minerals - while we are still remodeling. We will have modified hours and rocks will be housed in tents, but we will be open! Please join us as we start to bring this important part of Tucson rock history, the Kino Rock Shop, back to its former glory.

Biting off more than we can chew? Probably. But we’re going to have a blast doing so!
Come visit us at the “Main Show” taking place at the TCC. The longest running gem show in Tucson and the reason the Tucson gem and mineral shows are what they are today - the biggest gem show in the world.
Suzanne will be one of the guest speakers during the TGMS show. She will be chatting about meteorite basics and identification. You can come watch the chaos Sunday, February 15th at 1 pm mst. We will also try to broadcast live on FB.

There is a fee for entry and parking for the TGMS show at the TCC
(PLEASE NOTE - there is NO fee to visit our rock shop and no wholesale requirement, everyone is welcome.)
Hours at Kino may be slightly modified while we’re doing the TGMS event
We will return to by appointment only after the Tucson gem shows while we continue our remodeling during the remainder of the year. We figure it will be a number of years before we’re done with the remodeling. Thanks for your patience and understanding while we work to remodel the property and come on by to see the progress!

Since we are lacking in a building with air conditioning and it’s hot as an oven in Tucson right now, we are not participating in this year’s “small show” at the end of August. We would love to see you, but it’s just too darn hot. We will be open for the 2026 gem show.
